How are you going to fit in with the company and provide value?
你會如何融入公司、為公司創造價值?
因此,在面試中,你需要做的, 就是用自然但聰明的方式,有的放矢地推銷自己。
那么,一分鐘自我介紹,需要遵循哪些步驟呢?

Greet the interviewers
和面試官打招呼
簡單來說,面試就是一種社交互動。
所以,如果連基本的禮儀都不具備,那么面試肯定是要陰溝里翻船的。
所以,面試一開始,一定要和面試官打招呼,介紹下你的基本信息,建立良好的互動。
For a start, the candidate requires to smile and greet all the interviewers sitting on the panel and say “Hello”, “Good Morning” or any othergreeting. Moreover, the place doesn’t include a whole address. Therefore, acandidate should keep their starting stage clean and precise.
用“你好”、“早上好”或其他問候語和面試官打招呼。但介紹地址時應只介紹省份和地區,不必過于詳細。整個開場越簡練精確,越好。

Describe educational qualification
介紹教育背景
一般來說,簡單介紹過個人背景之后,就是談談你的教育情況了。
對于應屆畢業生來說,因為沒有工作經驗,可以多講一些教育背景。主要集中在 本科或者研究生教育,可以談談你所學專業、研究方向、學校成績。
談教育背景同樣需要簡潔明了,不要總是喋喋不休地介紹學術成就。
Explanation about educational qualification requires a precise and crisp manner. There should be a certain way of talking regarding educational qualification because the candidate can’t go on and on about their achievements in academics.
如果是非應屆畢業生,那么教育背景不必過分闡釋,一筆帶過即可。重點放在下面的工作介紹中,突出社會經驗。

Mention about previous project
介紹以往的工作項目
過往工作介紹,可以說是重頭戲了。
一般到了這時,HR才會真正豎著耳朵聽你講故事。
HR會根據 你過往的行事風格、成就來判斷你是否能勝任,或者與公司文化和理念相符。
而說到工作介紹,這里就不得不提 STAR策略。
所謂STAR,它其實是 Situation, Task, Action, Result的縮寫。
Situation:Describe the context within which you performed a job or faced a challenge atwork.
情境:描述你做某件工作或迎接某項挑戰時所發生的背景情境。
For example, perhaps you were working on a group project, or youhad a conflict with a coworker. This situation can be from a work experience, avolunteer position, or any other relevant event. Be as specific as possible.
例如,也許你正在開展一個小組項目,或與同事發生沖突。背景情況可能出自某種工作經歷,也可能是某段志愿經歷。總之要盡可能具體。
Task:Next, describe yourresponsibility in that situation.
任務:描述你在這個情境中所承擔的責任。
Perhaps you had to help your group complete a project under atight deadline, resolve a conflict with a coworker, or hit a salestarget.
比如,你需要在時間很緊的情況下,完成一個項目。或者解決和同事之間的糾紛,或者完成某項銷售業績。
Action:You then describehow you completed the task or endeavored to meet the challenge.
行動:描述你采取了什么行動,來完成任務或搞定挑戰的。
Focus on whatyou did, rather than what your team, boss, or coworker did. (Tip: Instead ofsaying "We did xyx," say "I didxyz.")
注意,千萬要突出你做了什么,而不是你們團隊做了什么。
Result:Finally, explainthe outcomes or results generated by the action taken.
結果:描述行動所取得的效果。
You might emphasize whatyou accomplished, or what you learned.
側重描述你的成績,或者學到了什么。
上面的解釋有點抽象,下面來看下,如何將STAR策略運用到面試中。
問題1“Describe a situation when you had to deliver excellentcustomer service following a complaint”
講講接到客戶投訴后,你是如何做客服工作的?
示范回答:
? Situation: “A customer rang up complaining thatthey’d waited more than two weeks for a reply from our sales team regarding aproduct query.”
? Task: “I needed to address the client’s immediatequery and find out what went wrong in the normal process.”
? Action: “I apologized, got the details and passedthem to our head salesperson, who contacted the client within the hour. Iinvestigated why the query hadn’t been answered. I discovered that it was acombination of a wrong mobile number and a generic email address that wasn’tbeing checked. I let the client know and we offered a goodwill discount on hernext order.”
? Result: “The client not only continued to order fromus but posted a positive customer service tweet.”
問題 2: Tell me about a time you had to complete a task under a tight deadline. Describe the situation, and explain howyou handled it.
談談你曾經在很短時間內必須完成的一項任務。描述下相關情況,并解釋你是如何處理它的。
示范回答:
While I typically like to plan my work out in stages and complete it piece by piece, I can also achieve strong work under a tight deadline.
Once at a former company, an employee left days before a big project of his was due.I was asked to take it over, with only a few days to learn about and completethe project. I created a task force, delegated work, and we all completed the assignment with a day to spare. I think I tend to thrive under tight deadlines.
問題 3: What do you do when a team memberrefuses to complete his or her portion of the work?
和你同組的同事不肯完成他分內的工作,你怎么做的?
示范回答:
When there are team conflicts orissues, I always try my best to step up as team leader if needed. I think mycommunication skills make me an effective leader and moderator. For example,once I was working on a team project, and two of the team members got into anargument, both refusing to complete their assignments.
They were both dissatisfied with their workloads, so I arranged a team meeting where were arranged the assignments for the team. This made everyone happier and more productive, and our project was a success.

Most of the time during an interview thecandidate keeps explaining about themselves to the employer. That seems a quiteself-obsessed for most of the people.
在面試的大部分時間內,候選人都不斷向雇主解釋自己。這似乎是一種自我迷戀。
Therefore, start talking about theircompany support and the admiration he received from his mentor for the work.This kind of behavior can be refreshing for the employer.
